Pensions Investment Officer James on target for charity bike ride

Pensions Investment Officer James on target for charity bike ride

East Sussex Pension Fund's Investment Officer James on target for charity bike ride

With just a few days left, James Sweeney is just £5 away from his target of £1,000 for his fundraising bike ride for Chestnut Tree House

James, a Pensions Investment Officer, will be donning his Lycra this Thursday when he joins the Sussex leg of a 10-day bike ride by Border to Coast’s Chief Stakeholder Officer Ewan McCulloch.

We'll be following James' progress via a live tracker as makes his way along the 50+ miles from Tonbridge in Kent to Lewes Castle. James is due to finish the ride around 12.30pm but with temperatures set to soar to around 30 degrees it might be a bit later, he said.

Please donate if you can here - all money goes to Chestnut Tree House which provides hospice care services and community support for children and young people with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions.

Border to Coast Pensions Partnership

Following Government reform to investment management in the LGPS, East Sussex recently joined Border to Coast Pensions Partnership alongside 6 other Funds, meaning they now work alongside 18 funds in total.

Ewan McCulloch’s 10-day bike ride celebrates the pool’s expansion in 2026. During his journey he will visit every Partner Fund.

Best of luck to all riders from everyone at East Sussex Pension Fund.
